WEST JORDAN — Police are looking for a West Jordan teen who left home in the middle of the night with a 20-year-old man, taking her father’s car with them.
Kara Nez, 15, is believed to have left her house with Luige Gaucin early Sunday morning, according to a release issued by West Jordan police on Friday. The duo “reportedly stole Kara’s father’s black 2024 Nissan Altima with temporary permit DC30164 and possibly fled to Arizona or New Mexico,” the release says.

Further, Gaucin has been accused of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and has a warrant out for his arrest. Kara is listed as a Missing Endangered person. police said.
Police described Kara as a Native American girl with strawberry-blonde hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.
Gaucin has brown hair and brown eyes and is also 5-foot-7 and weighs 150 pounds, police said.
