SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Gov. Spencer Cox will speak with reporters during his monthly news conference at PBS Utah in Salt Lake City Thursday morning.
With the period for signing bills from the recent legislative session in the rearview, Cox has been making the rounds to promote his favored legislation, including bills adding protections for kids online and providing free school lunch for 40,000 students in Utah.
The governor is also likely to be asked about the effort to place a referendum on next year’s ballot to overturn a bill stripping public unions of bargaining rights, after organizers announced Wednesday they had gathered more than 320,000 signatures to that effect.
